Cynthia Cronin Cahill
Cynthia Cronin Cahill, CPA is the founding partner of Cahill & Jensen CPAs, LLC and a licensed Illinois Certified Public Accountant.
Ms. Cahill is a lifelong Elmhurst resident and received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame in 1980. Ms. Cahill started her career at Ernst & Young in Chicago in 1980. She served in the small business audit and tax departments and also in the governmental audit group. Ms. Cahill rose to the level of manager at Ernst & Young. After a successful career at Ernst & Young, Ms. Cahill founded her own accounting firm in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1990 specializing in small business and individual tax and accounting services. Ms. Cahill formed a partnership with Mr. Jensen and they have been serving their clients as the firm of Cahill & Jensen CPAs, LLC.
Ms. Cahill's extensive public and community service includes her election by the citizens of Elmhurst to serve a term as Elmhurst City Treasurer. She was also elected to serve on the National Alumni Board of the University of Notre Dame. Ms. Cahill currently is a Trustee of the Notre Dame Club of Chicago Scholarship Foundation, which provides tuition scholarships to high school seniors. She previously served as the President of the Fenwick High School Mothers' Club. Ms. Cahill is also a member of the Illinois CPA Society. Ms. Cahill is married to Jerome F. Cahill, CPA and is the mother of 5 children, Denis, Cathleen, Megan, Michael and Claire.
David Jensen
David Jensen, CPA, MPA is a partner of Cahill & Jensen CPAs, LLC and a licensed Illinois Certified Public Accountant. He is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Mr. Jensen received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics from Elmhurst College in 2000 graduating magna cum laude from the Honors Program. He continued his education receiving a Masters in Professional Accountancy also from Elmhurst College in 2002 and a Certificate of Executive Education in Effective Leadership from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business in 2008. While at Elmhurst College, Mr. Jensen earned three varsity letters as a member of the Wrestling Team. He also received numerous awards for his academic achievements, including being named the Outstanding Senior in the Center for Business and Economics, the Outstanding Student in Accounting, named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and was inducted into the honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Delta Mu Delta.
While a student at Elmhurst College, Mr. Jensen started his career in accounting working for Ms. Cahill's accounting firm in 1997. He was elevated to the role of partner with Ms. Cahill in 2006 and they have been serving their clients as the firm of Cahill & Jensen CPAs, LLC.
Mr. Jensen is also very active in the community and the profession. He served on the Elmhurst College Alumni Association Board of Directors in various roles from 2000 - 2013 including Treasurer, Vice President for Programming, and Vice President for Recognition. He has also served on National Committees and Task Forces for the honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Delta Kappa. Currently, Mr. Jensen serves as the Treasurer for Character Counts in Elmhurst; the local chapter of a national organization dedicated to teaching today's youth character education. Mr. Jensen is also an active member of the Illinois CPA Society where he was previously a member of the Young Professionals Group Task Force and currently is a member of the Outstanding Educator Award Task Force.
